Chantal Mathieu, soloist and pedagogue of international repute, has been Principal harp with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk in Hamburg, soloist with the Lausanne Chamber Music Orchestra in the United States directed by Armin Jordan, and with major orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic. She has also performed with well-known conductors like Sir Neville Marriner, Heinz Holliger, Emmanuel Krivine, Gerd Albrecht, Horst Stein, Jesus-Lopez Cobos...
Teacher at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, then at the Lausanne Haute Ecole de Musique, she today pursues her career as interpreter and teacher in Masterclasses throughout the world, while enriching her discography containing already some 20 CDs.
