Now based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Aberystwyth-born Helen has become one of the most distinguished musicians of her adopted country. She has been particularly associated with Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir, and, of course, with her husband, the internationally renowned composer and trumpet player Palle Mikkelborg.
As one of the judges of the World Music Competition, Helen is especially well-qualified, as she has worked and recorded with prominent musicians from various genres, and has played literally all over the world, from the tip of the Arctic circle in Greenland, to the southernmost tip of Tasmania. Other continents where she has played include South Africa, Australia, North and South America and the Far East as well as throughout Europe and Scandinavia.
Next August comes the exciting invitation to Transylvania, where Helen and Palle will perform in the gothic castle of Bran, legendary home of none other than the vampire Count Dracula himself.
